Regular Season Round 16: Honved - Andu Sibiu 81-76

Everything could happen in Budapest at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked HungarianHonved and 8th ranked Romanian Andu Sibiu had identical 1-1 record. This time Honved used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Sibiu 81-76 on Saturday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Andu Sibiu won fourth quarter 19-16 . However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Honved made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Honved had a 24-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by Mihaly Poszgai who scored that evening 21 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and Enes Durmus supported him with 14 points and 6 assists. Even 18 points and 6 assists by Erik Sledinchi did not help to save the game for Andu Sibiu . Swingman Luca Otgon (191-2008) added 13 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Four Andu Sibiu players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Honved (2-1) moved-up to fifth place. Loser Andu Sibiu dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
